| Cable for run. Get stainless steel if you can from a boating supply. Get a few feet extra to make up the connections on the ends. Mine is 1/8" since that is the largest size my crimper will swage. | |||||||

| Crimp Sleeves to fit the diameter of your cable. I used two at each end though one is probably strong enough. | |||||||

| Turnbuckles and screw eyes/bolts to anchor the ends of the cable. I used large screw eyes since its fastened to trees. If its to fasten to a metal post, etc. then you may want to use eye bolts. | |||||||
| OPTIONAL: If you don't want to buy a swage tool or know of a friend with a sailboat that will swage it for you then you can just put double cable clamps on the ends. | |||||||
| Be sure to check the cable ends and turnbuckles as they tend to work themselves loose over time. Also, check the clips/snaps on your leash since they wear out every few months from sliding on the cable. | ![]() |

| I bought a $5 pot metal pulley from the local hardware store. Liesa broke it the third day. Next, I bought a good $35 stainless steel pulley at the marine store; it has lasted for months without signs of wear. | |||||||
